Shreveport, Lousiana

Driving around the backroads of Northern Louisiana you can just feel the history. Another interesting aspect, IMHOP, is the blurring of the cultures/identities? In this part of the state where Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas converge. In some cases you can be in Texas or Arkansas in less than an hours drive. 

The landscape looks the same. I don't hear the creaole vocal tones of my New Orleans family here. In the store I see Boudain sausage labeled as Boudin? All is good. Family is Family. 

At the end of the day, for the most part, Louisiana hospitality is always there waiting for you no matter what part of the state you are in.
